About Me

Welcome to Holen The Wall!  Thank you so much for taking time to read.

My name is Kirsten, I'm 24, and live in California.  I've been here most of my life and it's pretty much a love/hate relationship.  I've also lived in Washington, England, Maryland and Tennessee, but somehow I ended up back here!

I've worked at Target, a hospital in medical records, a few other odds and ends, and Bath & Body Works.  My most recent job, before what I'm doing now, was doing clerical work for a temp agency.  When that job was over, the puzzle pieces fell in and I am now a stay at home nanny for two wonderful boys.

I love love love cooking and baking, and I'm going to start poking around healthy baking recipes.  Experimenting with cooking is a struggle since I live in a house of picky eaters (glare).  I still do my best to provide and share with everyone!

I'm awfully crafty - there isn't an art or craft I've tried that I haven't enjoyed.  I watercolor, sew, crochet, knit, draw... and I love reading!  With kids running around it's a little harder to keep my head in the clouds, but I'm doing my best to get into the swing of things again.  I consider experimenting with beauty products and make up to be an art.  Not only can it be beautiful but it can be a huge confidence booster.  It also doesn't take as much investment as painting or yarn craft... and is harder for little hands to get into and mess up.

I'm  a gamer!  I've played MMORPGs for most of my life.  Right now I'm absorbed in making my town perfect in Animal Crossing.  I can't wait to get my hands on Borderlands 2, and I'm a little pissed that Kevin has the XBox so that I can't Skyrim during someone's nap time.  I'm currently taking a break from Lord of the Rings Online to pursue blogging and couponing.

Speaking of which... I love saving money and making things more efficient.  I'm not an "extreme couponer", mostly because it's near impossible in California.  And, while I love good deals, being able to get 30 tubes of toothpaste doesn't really get my gears turning.  I do a lot of meal planning and deal finding.

I am also completely honest and not shy or ashamed about anything!  If you have any questions or want me to make a blog post about anything, drop me a line.  I'd be more than happy to answer and/or share to the world my opinion on the matter. :)  Leave a post on my blog, contact me through Facebook or Twitter, use the e-mail link on the right, or just this e-mail: holenthewallcrafts@gmail.com

I want to hear from you!
